About

Vito Lalinga was born in Taranto in 1959. At the age of six he learned to play the guitar perfectly by himself, in lower secondary school he was part of the institute complex and at the age of 13 he distinguished himself from his peers because he listened to jazz and soul music, loving characters of the caliber of Ramsey Lewis and Eddie Kendricks. In 1976, like many of his age, he was struck by the birth of the free radios in which he joined, starting first as a conductor on Canale 99 and then moving on to Radio Taranto International and then to Radio Luna, the first Italian network. Subsequently he continued his experience at Prima Radio Network and Publiradio Network. Right from the start he was fascinated in particular by the sound of funk and funk jazz, collecting around 7800 vinyls, many of which are still collectible rarities today. That is, From 1990 to 1997 he worked continuously as a deejay becoming one of the most requested by the best clubs in his province. In 1996 he was awarded the "ELLEPI" prize in recognition of his career, in memory of Loris Pepe. The meeting with Giancarlo Coppola, another historic icon of the console, was decisive and with whom in 2013 he set up a web radio called Impactradioweb which quickly qualified for first place in the national competition of web radios "Sotto le stelle". Recently also attracted by new production technologies and driven by his musical taste, he decides to devote himself mainly to the activity of producer. Also in this case the meeting and friendship with Angelo Dattuomo was decisive, with important professional experiences behind him both as sound engineer, producer and deejay and as A&R manager. All this leads Vito Lalinga to create about three hundred Tracks in just two and a half years, to obtain countless international awards, several dozen first positions, hundreds of appearances in the Top Ten of the various digital stores and many Vinyl creations!
